Public Emergency Plan

The Local Emergency Planning Committee established an emergency plan that includes:

  • Identity and location of hazardous materials / sites in the county
  • Procedures for immediate response to the chemical accident
  • Ways to notify the public about actions they must take
  • Notify state and federal government officials in emergency
  • Names of coordinators at plants
  • Schedules and charts for testing of the plan

This plan will be tested annually and the public will be informed of the testing.
