Title: Communities in Action AmeriCorps Director
Phone: 406-433-2207

Cristin joined the team in 2015 and has had a few different roles in her time at the Health Department. She has a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus in Business and Psychology.

She is currently the Director of an AmeriCorps program supporting the work of Communities in Action that will apply strategies to address needs in frontier and oil impacted areas of eastern Montana. Areas of most pressing need are: senior health and chronic disease issues, access to healthy foods, increased opportunities for physical activity, workforce development, early childhood education, suicide prevention and access to mental health services. The goal of the planning grant will be to negotiate new and strengthen current collaborations to create a system that will ensure the success of a future AmeriCorps program. Planned outcomes of the grant are increased collaboration across agencies and organizations, an inclusive process that is accessible to all community members and increased volunteerism. The project will plan for the implementation of sustainable best-practice programs that have a positive impact on the most pressing issues in our communities.

Cristin also sits on the Communities in Action Steering Committee.
