About the Foundation
A group of civic-minded leaders has established the Richland County Public Libraries Foundation. The foundation exists to enrich and supplement, not replace, traditional tax-based support for the library through gifts, grants, and bequests from individuals, businesses, and organizations.
The foundation board of directors is committed to ensuring that the library remains a vital educational and informational center for our community by raising funds that expand library capabilities and improve facilities. They also advocate for the library and work to build an endowment to meet future library needs.
Mission:
The purpose of the foundation is to enhance the quality of the Sidney-Richland County Library's services to the community by securing resources to support library programming and project needs not normally met by public funding.
Tax Benefits
A gift to the Richland County Public Libraries Foundation can provide substantial tax savings to the donor, which in effect reduces the cost of the gift. Funds may still be given directly to the Sidney-Richland County Library, however, the foundation provides the most protected vehicle for making donations as it is 501(c)3 registered.
